Disrupt: Dub Matrix With Stereo Sound Vinyl LP
Heaviest chip-dub straight from Disrupt's custom-modded Gamebwoy! While most of us remember Nintendo Gameboy as a source for hours of Tetris or Mario Land on a puke-green screen, Disrupt utilizes the pocket-sized gaming console for massive sound murderation. Armed with his trusty Gameboy (redubbed - "GameBWOY"), an LSDJ Tracker cartridge, and a pimped-out Korg Monotron Delay, Disrupt masters the art of console-based riddim construction on Dub Matrix With Stereo Sound. All 9 tracks were made using this simple, but highly effective setup, then mixed straight to cassette. Probably a bit of greenery was used as well, but that's pretty obvious and besides the point. Check the sounds on "Arp Attack," "Pueblo," "Babylon Wavetables," "The Future Is Ours," and the NES-101 reference "Toploader." Dude is crushing bits to smithereens. Limited import pressing on Jahtari.
