Dstrukt & Rcade: Brazilla (J. Dilla Edits) Vinyl 7"

Edits as sweet as donuts. Serving up two sides of delicious 7” edits, DSTRUKT & RCADE rework two classic Dilla songs. Side A features a subtle yet bouncy flip by DSTRUKT of Stan Getz & Luiz Bonfa’s “Saudade Vem Correndo,” made timelessly famous by The Pharcyde’s 1995 hit “Runnin’”. It’s a slow building edit that doesn’t play the cards of the main riff right off the bat, allowing the beauty of the original to take shape before the familiar guitar riffs in and out. On the flip, RCADE reworks the addicting piano and guitar riff from the Dilla song “Rico Suave Bossa Nova” and builds on top, giving the track a fuller sound without detracting from the true soul of the original sample. Both tracks are dance floor friendly tracks, and served with the right setting, drink, and outfit, will have you swaying. Bonus scratch sounds at the end of each side give this release that added sweetness. Released by Raisin Heads.
