Endless drama consumed the runaway success of We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors… back in 2013, and their future has remained uncertain ever since. …And Star Power (2014) was an eighty minute epic, and Hang (2017) pared down the running time but upped the grandiosity with a full orchestra. Seeing Other People is Foxygen travelling from the 60s/70s to the 80s with fresh inspiration. Opener “Work” apes Elvis Costello and the preppy quirk of Joe Jackson, “The Thing Is” is a Springsteen-esque piano stomper. “Livin’ A Lie” is kitchen sink psychedelia, while “The Conclusion” is broken-down funk. This special edition comes pressed on heavyweight pink vinyl and features a bonus disc with demo versions of 6 album tracks.
