Originally released in 1983 on a small run cassette, Pier & Loft was crafted by Yoshimura to soundtrack a Seibu department store exhibition showcasing overseas (i.e. New York) fashion. Yoshimura's work always has a calming quality, something you might not expect for a fashion show. The synth work here is remarkably spacious and entrancing, relying on soft melodies and patient repetition to soothe the listener's ears.
