Many DJs with a deep crates have been putting out Dilla tributes, but when Detroit-native House Shoes adds his two cents, people need to stop and listen. A direct Dilla-collaborator and a high level club DJ (currently residing in LA), Shoes masterfully cuts Dilla sample tracks for over an hour. The CD version of this one blew out of the LA store in a couple days, and sold out with the quickness online if that's any indication. 2 LPs, 4 sides, 75 minutes and 19 seconds. Recommended.
