Hard to find sweet disco heat, official repress! Karriem's "I Love You" is one of those rare disco gems that is sure to please even the most jaded collector. Originally released in 1979 on Leroy Smith's Pashlo Records, the record received a limited press and has been somewhat of a holy grail ever since. Smith was also responsible for the short lived Ocampo Records, where he produced and recorded the very first songs from Darondo. Karriem would go on to become Dr. Karriem Muhammad and actually re-recorded "I Love You" in 2008. However, this version from 1979 produced by Gerald Robinson is the one you need. Officially licensed, quality pressing. Don't sleep.
