Minimal Wave continue their run of crucial synth compilations with The Hidden Tapes. The compilation features rare, unreleased, and licensed tracks from as far as Japan and the former Yugoslavia. Most of the artists featured on the compilation recorded on 4-track tape in their bedrooms, while some even collaborated by sending tapes through the mail. The results vary from proto-industrial and deconstructed new wave to nascent synth pop and dark synthesizer jams. All the tracks have been remastered and pressed on 180 gram vinyl. This is the second pressing of this highly in demand compilation.
