Sought-after soundtrack obscurity repressed! Moggi is an alias for innovative Italian library and soundtrack composer Piero Uniliani. On 1980's Tra Scienza E Fantascienza, Umiliani experimented with abstract synthesizer soundscapes, avant-garde funk arrangements, and minimal, yet complex rhythms and melodies that sound way ahead of their time. In a way, it is reminiscent to the cult soundtrack to La Planete Sauvage, but with a hypnotic Italian touch and a much wider scope in vision. Check "Officina Stellare," "Danza Galattica," "Bric Brac," "Soft Key," and the minimalist "Happy Accompaniment" for a taste. Obviously tons of untapped sample moments for producers, but also a mind-expanding listen through and through.Ā Recommended.
