Serious heat from the Lewisham don and the Grimey Jeff Mills. There's a lot to be said about Novelist, especially for how young he is. The 18 year old grime MC celebrated his born day with the release of the video for "1 Sec" and the timing could not have been more perfect. He's come up over the past year, getting attention for the energy he brings to his radio spots and live sets. He first teamed up with Mumdance for "Take Time" and this effort for XL seems set to top that one. The beats are expansive and move on from the tried and true tropes of grime while Novelist pushes his unique UK flow evermore forward. These two cuts are banging in their own right, leaving us wanting more from these two.
