Os Mutantes: A Divina Comedia Ou Ando Meio Desligado (180g) Vinyl LP

Os Mutantes: A Divina Comedia Ou Ando Meio Desligado (180g) Vinyl LP

A Divina Comedia Ou Ando Meio Desligado, which roughly translates to "A Divine Comedy or I Walk Disconnected," is the third album from Os Mutantes. The 11-tracker is incredible, and although the band's first two full-lengths were similarly influenced by American and British classic rock (i.e. The Beatles), the effect is more defined on here; check out tracks like "Ando Meio Desligado," "Ave, Lucifer," "Desculpe, Babe," and "Hey Boy." It is speculated that the shift is due to the absence of fellow Tropicalia artists (Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, etc. - they were exiled by the government) during the recording process. Thankfully, the band is able to retain and express its signature aesthetic, once again delivering a sound that's familiar yet distinctive. Another must-have for Tropicalia fans.
