Piero Umiliani: Musica Dell'Era Tecnologica (180g) Vinyl LP (Record Store Day)

Piero Umiliani: Musica Dell'Era Tecnologica (180g) Vinyl LP (Record Store Day)

Italian composer Piero Umiliani spent most of the 60s and 70s churning out film scores like clockwork, but managed to steal away to his Sound WorkĀ Shop studio in Rome in 1972 to record a trans-dimensional oddity of Moog synth + analog drum machine rhythms which he called Musica Dell'Era Tecnologica (translation: Music of the Technological Era). This holy grail of Italian experimental synth & library music runs the full spectrum of analogue bubblebath squirms (ā€œVirus In Amore,ā€ ā€œConsumismoā€) toĀ clangy industrial dirges (ā€œFinalissimo Atomico,ā€ ā€œCatene Di Montaggio,ā€ ā€œBlues Machineā€) and Switched-on Bach vibes (ā€œAntiquariatoā€). First-ever reissue limited to 500 copies on 180g vinyl with Lab-approved Munari-esque cover art courtesy of Italian filmmaker Sandro Lodolo.
