Crucial cuts from Ryuichi Sakamoto reissued! Rush Hour has given the 7" treatment to two standouts from the legendary Japanese composer's 1978 solo debut, Thousand Knives. First up is the stunning title track "Thousand Knives Of Ryuichi Sakamoto," one of the YMO member's signature tunes (later re-arranged on Yellow Magic Orchestra's BGM) that showcases both his brilliant melodies, and his synth mastery. On the flip we are treated to "Plastic Bamboo," another live YMO staple that fuses synthpop, funk and exotica, and filters them through analog synth circuitry.
