A preview of things to come from Slum Village and another testament to Dilla's far-reaching legend. This new 10-track, vinyl-only EP is sure to tide over the J. Dilla fanatics. Though Vintage is technically an EP, it’s not to be under-estimated. Slum Village come full force on these tracks, backed by some premium grade beats (Including a few tracks built around long-lost Dilla beats) with instrumentals as a B-Side. The Dilla produced “We On” is a simple and breazy beat that opens up for the soulfully sung chorus. “Yes Yes” is a classic, mellow Dilla beat that will surely serve as nothing but to make you miss Jay Dee even more. Guest appearances from fellow Detroit MCs Black Milk & Frank Nitt further bolster the Vintage EP's potency. A full length with features from Chance The Rapper, De La Soul, Pfife and more is set for release this fall.
