Firstly, the SL-1500C uses the same high-torque direct drive motor and S-shaped tonearm as Technics DJ models. The SL-1500C removes the speed control slide (a DJ feature) and adds a phono preamp + Ortofon 2M Red cartridge (for easy plug+play).
