Theo Parrish: Roots Revisited 12"
A welcome repress from Sound Signature! Roots Revisited is classic Theo Parrish at his most stripped down and effective. While most heads will recommend skipping over "Walking Thru The Sky (Liberation Mix)" it's worth giving it sometime to grow on you. It's definitely an early morning after hours jam. Now that you've had a chance to relax the real meat and potatoes of this release is "Dan Ryan." It's one of Theo's most subtle jams, but should turn pretty mush any dancefloor out. The simple combination of drum beat, melodic bassline, and some congas works to great affect. Minimal, warm, and just the right combination to create a banger like no other. Good look on the repress for those that missed out previously. Recommended.
